What is involved in having a mould inspection conducted in my home or business?
A consultant/technician will personally discuss your specific concerns and requirements.
A consultant/ technician will visit your site at a time that suits you best.
A visible inspection to be carried out
A digital Protimeter will be used to measure moisture content in the building materials of the structure and every effort will be made to identify the root cause of the mould growth.
Measuring of Relative Humidity
Results will be explained and various recommendations will be provided. Mould removal/ remediation
1. Inspecting the cause of the problem. 2. Correcting the situation by removing visible mould and controlling air borne mould Spores 3. And finally protecting the building from future mould growth. Air and surface mould sampling can also be conducted if required and certified lab reports Detailing the species and concentration of mould can be provided. If required a formal written report detailing the problem areas and recommendations will be provided.
Mould Removal/Remediation service starts now.

Pre Purchase Home Inspections (Mould, Damp/Moisture, Voc’s,) Residential/Commercial:
Knowing as much as you can about the condition of the property before you buy will help you avoid problems and extra costs down the track.
Water Damage Cleaning & Restoration Water damage: MouldandMore: trained and certified provides water removal and structure drying for homes and businesses that have experienced water damage. Our technicians are capable of getting your damaged structure back to its original condition. We remove water damage. We completely and properly dry out the area or area’s to prevent a mould problem. Without proper dehumidification, air movers would continually circulate evaporated moisture and cause secondary damage. MouldandMore’s dehumidifiers are finely tuned restoration machines that remove water vapour, moisture from the air and surrounding structural materials.
Dehumidification & Structure Drying:
Improper drying of moisture damaged structures can result in mould growth and additional structural damage. MouldandMore extract standing water, stabilize the environment, and provide structure drying services. Water damage can be deceptive. Water penetrates into structural cavities creating trapped pockets of saturation. The detection of water in these areas can often only be discovered with sophisticated moisture detection meters. Undetected moisture will continue to cause damage. This damage, at a minimum, will cause odours. Greater damage will surface when materials delaminate, shrink, split and further deteriorate to where costly repairs are required. More than just removing excess water, certified restorers have the knowledge and equipment to further dry a home or facility (including substructure materials) completely back to pre-loss conditions. Through timely response and the careful monitoring of water damage, mould and other health issues can be prevented. If water damage has been present too long, mould will occur. All certified professionals have the training and experience to identify moisture sources, evaluate mould growth (visible or suspected), contain damage, and remove contamination and dry materials to ensure that mould will not return.
Infection Control- Anti-Bacterial Treatments:

Odours removal of unwanted smells for a variety of reasons
Odour Control: There are many forms of mal odour within properties, some are from chemical or food origin, but the most common forms are from bacteria related contamination. These are generally most pronounced when humidity or moisture levels are high and where the property has poor air circulation. The bacteria contamination causing those mal odours may well be relatively harmless at first, but just like mould, if found in sufficient quantities they can become lethal. Constant mal odours in properties are signs of SBS (sick building syndrome) and should be investigated immediately. If you have concerns in this area, contact us immediately!

They are free of symptoms when not in that building. While symptoms vary from person to person, they may include headache, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, nausea and eye/nose/throat irritation. Having your home or workplace assessed is the best way of determining whether or not your indoor environment may be affecting your health.
What is Sick Building Syndrome?
Sick building syndrome describes what happens when a combination of indoor air toxins and lack of ventilation meet the human respiratory system. Because the list of pollutants is so many, and their effects so varied, sick building syndrome has a multitude of symptoms and can rear its head in many ways. In general, however, the most prevalent symptoms include eye irritation and nonspecific upper respiratory symptom. Pollutants such as dust, mould, harmful organisms, bacteria, VOCs, toxic gases, harmful compounds, and chemical vapors can all produce adverse effects that cause sick building syndrome. The combination of one or more of these pollutants can multiply the problem, any compound that can pollute the air can be a factor of sick building syndrome, they need not be inorganic “factory” chemicals. Fungi are “natural” but also an especially major biological pollutant in the indoor environment. As long as moisture and oxygen are available, mould is able to grow. This leads to it being found on nearly any surface in a building, including carpets, ceiling tiles, insulation’s, any surfaces, wallpapers, or air conditioning systems. Indoor environments that provide exposure to fungus can cause health problems such as allergy, asthma, pneumonia, airway irritation, and many other different toxic effects
Although specific causes of SBS are unknown, below are some of the contributing factors to Sick Building Syndrome.
1. Chemical contaminants from outdoor sources. Outdoor pollutants such as motor vehicle exhausts, plumbing vents, and building exhausts. 2. Chemical contaminants from indoor sources. Indoor pollutants come from adhesives, upholstery, carpeting, copy machines and cleaning agents. 3. Biological contaminants. Biological contaminants are pollen, bacteria, viruses, and moulds. These contaminants are trapped and accumulated in humidifiers and ducts because buildings were built tight for energy saving purposes. These contaminants can cause fever, cough and allergic reactions to building occupants. 4. Inadequate ventilation. In order to improve energy efficiency, building designers make more buildings airtight. However, airtight and poorly ventilated buildings results ill health symptoms related to sick building syndrome.
